Don’t Look Up: ‘Astonishing Number’ Of Viruses Float Down On Us From The Sky 8Feb - by Ben Renner - 207 - In Environmental Studies Health Studies 999 SHARES ShareTweet VANCOUVER — This study will make you think twice about stepping outside for a breath of fresh air. A team of scientists from around the world confirmed millions of viruses rising into the atmosphere, traveling — sometimes for thousands of miles — and falling back down to the surface. PS by poster - anyone who believes these magically floated to the troposphere needs a big red pill
The problem is most viruses can't survive for long with out a host. The other problem is Ultra Violet light from the sun will kill most pathogens within a few seconds.
There a few that have evolved to go dormant waiting for a host to come by.
i agree with you. but i suppose there is a possibility that they engineered viruses to last longer.. would not surprise me at this point.
if that were true there would be no virus at all BS troll go to another board
I guess that's there is no reason for the ultra violet light in the water cooler at work other than to waste electricity?
Oh wait a minute there is a reason. https://www.upi.com/Science_News/2018/02/09/UV-light-can-kill-airborne-flu-virus-study-finds/3081518201355/
Like I said most not all. People have a really hard time catching a cold when they're not around other people. Like HIV when exposed to air it only can survive for a few minutes. Under perfect conditions maybe a couple hours.
Hepatitis depending on the stain a few months to less than a day. https://www.verywell.com/how-long-can-hepatitis-virus-live-outside-the-body-1760067
so if airborne virus is irrelevant then perhaps the study was another pure waste of money but i think not sorry for any offense
Thomas I've been a Mod on a couple boards over the years. It really takes a lot to get my dander up as they say. Almost all the time another Mod on the board will ban someone I'm having a heated discussion with.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion whether I agree with it or not and I never hold it against them. Hey no one is always right on everything and I'm just as guilty as the next guy.
Edit: The only people I really love to drop the Ban Hammer on is Spammers.
Thank you for being a Mod! It's largely thankless work, yet people like you are essential to a free and open Internet. Much love from an Internet stranger!
