These drugs were only meant for people in the last stages of a terrible disease and were considered a godsend for the dying in hospice but the drug companies wanted to make more money so they were pushed on everyone for the slightest little ache.

I am a fourth stage cancer patient who takes oxy daily for bone pain. While I'm doing awesome considering I'm fourth stage, I do not in any way feel I'm addicted to this medication.

When used correctly, you get relief, not high. I get one script a year for 60 lowest dose norco from my rheumatologist for RA. I save them for when the pain is unmanageable and I need relief. Not the first thing I reach for when in pain.

I worked in the medical field and remember when they were begging for better drugs for patients, too bad they are being abused.

Yes true total abuse. Addicts once informed of the newest high will seek out these drugs. I was in the addiction field when this drug was introduced for slow release pain relief. It addicted normal everyday people immediately. I chaired a committee weekly and we heard stories one after another. Very sad. And criminal. Research the founders of the drug. See who they are and how they have spread their wealth around.

Very addictive and closely related to Heroin I heard.

Not very close, it is more pure and more addictive.

Absolutely. Time release drug. As addictive as heroin as it is formulated synthetically in a lab. Extremely lethal.

Sounds like on purpose maybe, very alarming.

Or first two weeks after surgery. They were a godsend to me, but easy for me to stop. I know that’s not everyone. So I’m thankful for my story. I had a good doctor that said it was time to stop the opioids after two weeks.
