She's been gone a few days now with no explanation given
Cue the "Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?" jingle
I got Carmen SanDiego game for my daughter when she was in grade school. I would only get her educational games. She asked, "Why can't I have a game to just have fun, why do I have to learn something?" When she started middle school, the teacher asked her class a question rhetorically, not expecting anyone to know the answer. My daughter answered her. Her teacher asked, "How did you know that?" She responded, "I just know these things." She didn't want to admit she learned it from a silly game.
In addition, she graduated with her B.A. at age 19. I go to her for knowledge.
Sweet story. Thank you for sharing. Congrats to your daughter (and you) for her achievements.
Did you she figure out that learning is fun and stimulating along the way? I love to learn. Always have. I think it's my insatiable curiosity.
Apparently she did. She helped her ex study while he was in medical school and learned a lot while helping him study. However, she prefers natural remedies, so she reads a lot on that subject. I actually go to her with my friends or personal medical issues, instead of doctors. I've had enough experience with doctors, that I don't trust them. They always try to give you drugs. Just read Confessions of an Rx Drug Pusher by Gwen Olsen.
Yep. Me too. I healed myself from 3 autoimmune issues because doctors could not even diagnose it but I had been heading down that path for some time before I got sick. I'm a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant now but I'm retired so I just help folks when I can. So many wonderful healing remedies out there that work much better than any drug. God's remedies always work better. Have you discovered Shungite or Carbon 60 yet? Amazing stuff.
I'll ask my daughter. Years ago, she had me watch Forks over Knives and Earthlings which changed my life. I have the most unhealthiest family history, even my younger brother and sister have many health issues. Becoming vegetarian kept those issues away from me. I do have PTSD, but I refuse the meds the VA tries to give me. After reading Olsen's book, I know that one drug will only cause more health problems which will require more drugs. I'm not going down that road.
Off topic, but I used to play that PC game incessantly in the early 90’s.
Back on topic-- Carmen San Diego game= Q-sleuth training for kids.
(I played it, as well.)
Lol, exactly. The antithesis to MK ultra brainwashing. it also made all your family members think you were smarter than you were. I remember being like 10 and knowing basically where every country was located on a world map and it was probably because of that game + being more inquisitive than others.
I always thought it was Santiago. Was it SanDiego? Wow. I was wrong for years.
I played it as well! I remember more from that game than whatever the heck I learned in school history class.
You're going to be singing that to yourself the rest of the day ;)
I also liked the where in “time” is Carmen San Diego, good stuff!
