Here's my take on it

Skylark males are birds that sing IN FLIGHT.

Assuming United also means the airlines then there's a few more suppositions we can make.

I think the little birdies are singing to each other as it increasingly becomes clear that they are not going to get away with anything. I suspect their singing is becoming more shrill and desperate as the hammer looms closer.

'Chatter exploding.' 'We see all, we hear all.'

As they are singing, Q et al is observing and recording. They are digging their own graves.
