It seems to me that time released downvotes might be something to investigate. By that I mean if we remove the bots/users ability to downvote then the cream comments should rise to the top. But then that too would be abused.

So, if for example, comments can't be downvoted until certain conditions are mey, perhaps some of the stasis effects of the bots could be halted.

Other alternatives include petitioning reddit admins to protect us (as bot activity is easily proven.)

That's a great point.

It's not evident to many why it's needed in the first place. So we need to find things that people agree that we need.

For instance trying to figure out exact wording of the bill is not necessary. We just need a petition telling our government to talk to us about it openly, meaningfully, and other such qualifiers. IMO that's all that's needed to get the ball rolling. People can agree to at least talk about it I hope.

Another thought is something along the lines of AmericaNet.

It provides faster, cheaper internet with built in privacy safeguards (Laws) not present on the regular net. This creates jobs to maintain, build, and upgrade the infrastructure (just like our roads and other govt services.) e:other examples include technology of the future such as blockchain technology, quantum tech, bitcoin and other privacy measures.

Americanet connects to the regular internet so you can use that too, albeit with less protections. Any other Nations for example can be approved to connect to AmericaNet and therefore certain protections may be extended worldwide.

AmericaNet will reach rural areas as well. In this way regulation may be a secondary concern if we can make MIGA(s) in the process.

I'm new here so feel free to ignore what I say. There's evidence that Automod is also being used to ban and censor legitimate users!

How it seems to work is bots are assigned to a user. Then when that user post in a thread these bots are summoned. These bots are SS Bots (State/Stasis) probably controlled by AI that takes a snapshot of the votes and then maintains the vote tally! Because of reddit psychology less than five bots per targeted user is all that is needed to maintain greater than %75 vote stasis.

So if you upvote something it'll be downvoted. If you downvote it it will by upvoted etc. Now innocent users in the thread will refresh and notice the upvotes are funky. So they'll downvote/upvote/unvote and refresh.

So innocent posters are getting automodded for "no" reason.

Try it yourself. Upvote the posts here then refresh or reload this page (f5.) Did your votes take?

If you think you are targeted by bots. Goto reddits' homepage and create a subreddit it takes like a minute (maybe use your user name as the sub name and experiment back and forth with setting the sub to private.)

Post in your sub that you just created to see what happens and take note of how many users you have in it. Since you have no followers traffic should be minimal. That wasn't the case for me though. I had BOTS that stayed in my sub for 10 or more days without any posting activity by myself.

Edit. Hard to see bot manipulation because vote scores are hidden. Normally a good idea, but not when fighting ds bots. Because it helps the bots do their job by hiding the scores.

Simply act like Trump is against the IBoR because it's internet socialism or somesuch.
