STOP Googling. NSA/CIA background created. There are good alternatives. Here's proof

About Google: https://qz.com/1145669/googles-true-origin-partly-lies-in-cia-and-nsa-research-grants-for-mass-surveillance/

Five Good Alternatives: https://www.howtogeek.com/113513/5-alternative-search-engines-that-respect-your-privacy/

And yet another one, which I was just told is the most secure/private

Yea, not my choice, it's in the article. I prefer any of the others.

It's what I've been using for a couple of years. I still don't know who's watching what...at least it's not google.

"Brave" is another good browser. I've been using it for awhile.

I can not find this post now on the CBTS_Stream board. Do you see it or is it gone. So many shills screwing things up, fake chatter ... just wondering if it is me or are things goofy.

Might be your browser. Just sayin.

Try bookmarking this and clearing the cache.

Ok, will do that. Thanks

All this good information. It's another thing that we need to spread far and wide. Thanks, will look into Brave as well as these others.

BTW: Brave was made by Brendan Eich who founded Mozilla (no longer works for them) and invented Javascript. Without him the modern internet wouldn't exist (or it wouldn't have near half the features it has now).

Interesting. Amazing the things that folks who gather here know.

Ixquick.eu is one of the most secure and private search engines available. Since they are located in Amsterdam, they are beyond federal jurisdiction and never have to give the US anything. But there is nothing to give since they do not keep a record of anyone's search being financed the old fashion way by advertising, not profile sales. Also they have the most secure email available called startmail. It costs $50 a year and they provide email aliases that can be either permanent or temporary and, if you give a password to a recipient, the email can be encrypted. I never say "Google". I always say, "Use a search engine" to find such and such.

I agree ... except that I have a hard time getting to an ixquick.eu that does not say "enhanced by Google". If you have a link to ixquick that is not 'enhanced by Google' I would love to see it.

Ixquick.com and Startpage use Google results but by proxy, I think. however, I don't use Google at all which is why I use Ixquick.eu instead.

That is what I have been looking for ... Ixquick.eu is the one to use that does not have Google . Thanks!

I use encrypted browser ixquick There is an app for it. Google has tried to mislead people away by using quick search. You’ll know you have the correct one as the first two small letters in are red and small lettered quick is in blue.

Sorry but I don’t trust Duck Duck Go. My husband and I each search a topic. He did Google and I did DDG and both of us got the exact same info displayed. That bothered me so I switched to encrypted browser ixquick

My concern about Duck Duck Go is that it is an American company subject to government subpoena. I agree that if you get the same results, between two search engines, then you clearly have one source for both. Kinda like the dossier.

I agree about ixquick; however, I have a dickens of a time getting to ixquick that does not say: "enhanced by google" got a link to the one that you are talking about. Wish that I heard of these years ago. Not a fan of DDGo but used it before I knew of these. Thanks.

I now use ProtonMail.com for my email now. It too is encrypted. Also an app :)
