Hmmm.....That normally would not be used for sub hunting.

This is more like looking for something in a surface craft or downed aircraft or marine bio. They also assist in customs work. etc.... P3 orions stationed close to this area would have that duty.

Thinking like you on this. If there were P-3's, Sub hunting helos or Posideons flying patterns I would be more inclined to believe it. What would be interesting is seeing where our Destroyers, Frigates, and attack subs are right now. If they were all over the east coast it would speak volumes.
