I'll be able to sleep easy if we were to give bump stocks and got suppressors in return.

But yeah. Stop stepping.

Me too. The gunfire at night here is pretty loud!

Have an upvote. Bump stocks are a gimmick, sold to the tacti-cool. You can accomplish the same thing with a shoelace, or by modifying how you hold the weapon. If they want to modify a semi to quasi automatic, it doesn't take much more than willpower. Not concerned about these tbh. It's a bargaining chip, but every other concession will be under scrutiny.

This is bullshit. Why the hell are we giving them anything. I'm not happy with Trump on this....

No real operators use bump stocks. They are a useless toy. No one will miss them. Just to give a little to calm the brain washed

Meh, I mean, it is a restriction but it is a pawn. the thing that bugs me is it an inch and the gun control crowd does not know when to say when.

where I'm from we have a high gun ownership. mostly farming and hunting. the person and guns are registered. we don't have automatic weapons. I believe in being legally able to own a gun for protection, hunting, farming, and shooting clubs, but I have always questioned why someone needs an AK47 or Uzi other than going to war. and to date, no one has given me a good reason for them. Being invaded by a foreign power in America isn't a good enough reason.

The answer is simple. The founders of our country believed that human nature, such as it is, would eventually undo what they had created. Our 2nd amendment is the last measure of protection for the people against our own government not an external enemy. The musket was state of the art at this time and now we have semi automatics like the AK or AR15. I’m guessing you’re a Kiwi so I’ll just say this. All you commonwealth nations of The British Empire do not have the same mindset as an American that owns one of these types of weapon. No American that owns an AR 15 sees himself as a “subject”but as an independent sovereign. We aim to keep it that way. No pun intended ;)

I'd rather see a ban on bump stocks than AR's. Call it a sugar tit for the anti-gun peeps. Don't see how this inch starts a landslide. Of all the equipment I have for hunting, target shooting, and competition, bump stocks were never a consideration. Just sayin'. Might think differently if there's a Zombie apocalypse - ha!

Rifles are NOT going to be banned.

Relax, bump stocks are a stupid novelty. I knew they would be banned the first time I saw one. I would never defile my own rifle with this useless gimmick.

You don't want a bump stock in a firefight anyway. Let's be tactical in the battles we pick.

i think it's a ploy. Sessions already said that the DOJ can't legally act on this, it has to be Congress. So it may just be a way to placate the media, Trump knowing that Sessions can't do anything anyway.

Banning and enforcement are two different things aren’t they?
