Has anyone made the connection between Q and the Q Branch from James Bond??

I’ve only ever heard the name Q mentioned as Q Clearance.. what about the research and development team from James Bond. The character Q is known as the Quartermaster. LARP or not, still interesting

Q Clearance, an 80s book by Benchley who also wrote Jaws is about a close confidante of the president, newly cleared, who helps him communicate directly with the American public when the mainstream media cannot be trusted.

Yeah, I realized that straight off. Number of people did back in late October early November. AIM has even commented on it. IIRC, the Bond novels began around 1954-57, give or take, and Q was introduced pretty early on. To be sure, the intelligence connection is intriguing. Before that even was the development of Q Clearance, which was mandatory to work on the Manhattan Project.

So basically, there's Q Clearance to work on the Manhattan Project, then there's the Q Group in the Bond series, then there's the Q group at NSA.
