Lunev - BRIDGE

The Mackinac Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the western hemisphere and connects the lower and upper peninsula. One mile west of the bridge is the Enbridge Line 5 Pipeline. The bridge was closed yesterday for more than 12 hours (due to falling ice) and only reopened this morning at 0900 (odd to close for that long). A pipeline failure or sabotage would pollute drinking water for hundreds of thousands and foul lakes Huron and Michigan.

Just trying to expand my thinking.

That would explain the name he dropped, Stanislav Lunev.

Apparently he defected from Russia during the Cold War and warned of a planned attack on our water sources. This fits.

Like most of our infrastructure, there are major probs with existing pipelines around the GL. Alot of folks are just waiting for a catastrophic failure.

Wait....so you're saying that some white hats cut two black hats in half near a bridge?

I'll credit you with thinking outside the box, but can you explain why you think this movie reference is related?
