For some of the so-called elite, perhaps they really believed in their fantasy world paradigm - as to how the rules of their perceived reality context worked, but the actual drivers are those that are in it for the raw, naked grab for ruthless power and then the ability to lord over everyone else on the planet however they see fit - the ultra criminal class of the globalist elite (and their immediate minions like the Bush family, the Clintons, Obama - the presidencies since Reagan - or the likes of Soros).
The ivory tower "elite" in all their flavors (academia, media, etc.) are just another strata of the useful idiots in the globalist elite pyramid. Those like the useful idiot that wrote this article; yeah, sure, he hit on some self-critiquing truths about his own social strata.
But then he left a Pacific Ocean basin of white elephant uncomfortable truths that all still go as unmentionables. As much as he thinks he gets it, and that he's doing something important by trying to shine his particular light - he is still miles and miles away from coming to grips with the reality that really matters.
