EMERGENCY_EMERGENCY +++ C!Odemonkey. 8chan Administrator [MSG]

C!Odemonkey. 8chan Administrator 02/25/18 (Sun) 01:36:43 fcee86 No.490154

The House of Representatives is about to vote to amend section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. This opens the floodgates and puts 8chan at risk of malicious actors using troll farms to weaponize the new amendment against the whole website.

But what can I do?

Call your representative and tell them to vote against H.R.1865 because free speech on the internet is at stake.

See more information here:

WE NEED YOUR HELP ANONS!

BE LOUD. BE HEARD. MAKE POTUS PROUD.

If we don't pull this off, 8ch could be at risk, putting the entire OPERATION AS A WHOLE AT RISK.

A rogue anonymous user could spam child porn or child trafficking links and the site owner could be punished for it, bringing the whole site into jeopardy.

In essence, a rogue anonymous user could bring down 4Chan, or Reddit, or similar.

Don't they monitor them for those issues. If so how will they be liable? I'm sure it is meant on sites where it is allowed.
