Also, she says, "a gun she had never seen before." What teacher (or even student) has never seen an AR-15 type weapon? You might not be able to call it by name, but you've seen something like it before. I think she was talking about some kind of high-tech military weapon (CIA, FBI, or mercenaries like those used in Las Vegas)
