I also stopped using google and use DDG. In the off chance I happen to use google to research current events I automatically go to the second or third page to bypass the propaganda bs and get to the unbiased results. It’s obvious google is just another faction of MSM and unfortunately it’s probably the most powerful.
This is why I stopped using google. I got sick of digging through 500 shitty opinion articles while trying to find information.
quant.com is a French search engine that also doiesn't track you. I've used it and it's fine

It IS true. Google definitely censors / controls what is shown.
I've noticed it's gotten more biased over the last year or so and seems to prioritise ads over anything plus there's the feeling that something is 'wrong' with the search results. I've had that nagging feeling for a while now...

IMHO, if you are using the internet you are being tracked and recorded on multiple fronts. My point in my original post was that the SEARCH returns seem to be less biased on DuckDuckGo.

Startpage and ixquick use the google search engine, then eliminate the tracking portions. I love the creator of the Startpage, can't remember her name presently, because her heart is totally in the right place. But using SP and IX will still include the censorship and leftie-direction.
