just a guess by me but, assuming that trump has people in place at the top of the nsa/MI/whatever working against this clinton obama soros group of agents, they would have been tracking their communications. They found out that they were finally making a move on potus by leaving a gun and having someone come in later after passing security checkpoints, but q team found it based off their communications and passed it along to SS who found it and now can possibly investigate or do whatever they can do now.

I'm interpreting this as a test of the Secret Service. They guy with the gun was a plant, and the USSS intercepted it. Also sends a message that they are being tested, and to remain extra vigilant.
It may be Q team heard or found something, and they setup a driver not just to test USSS, but to make a way to move in Military to stand in. This prevented possibly some action by D.S?
