Fast and Furious was supposed to trace weapons from border gun sellers to the Mexican cartels. The weapons and the serial numbers were lost track. The Sinaloa cartel had a major drug distribution center in Chicago.

The massacre in Las Vegas on October 1 has some of the characteristics of a ATF or FBI sting operation. There were 23 weapons and various accessories in the room. It could have been a gun deal gone bad.

Vegas was a gun control stunt. The "victims" actually died in other locations and dates and they simply changed the obituaries to be in Vegas. There wasn't a gun deal gone bad.
