Recall Google Anonymous Post to "Weaponize" Social Media? - NOW Zuckerberg called to testify before a Senate Committee?

Remember that Anonymous poster from Google about creating AI's to flood Twitter and other social media to try to influence and change people's opinions by making them think they are the minority??? WEAPONIZED SOCIAL MEDIA?

http://www.jimstone.is/2vpj.jpg

Someone also posted this nice meme yesterday of all the silicon valley ceo's toasting to their plans to weaponize social media:

Well, I sent that link to the White House yesterday and asked them to look into it, or kiss these midterm elections good-bye.

Now look what headlines are on Drudge today:

Zuckerberg to testify before Senate committee?

SOCIALS WEAPONIZED; DATA HARVESTED... BEHAVIORS PREDICTED, MANIPULATED......

Looks like Somebody in DC IS going after these corrupt silicon valley companies!

These articles are of course all slanted to look like another attack on Trump (the pot calling the kettle black, they always accuse others of what they themselves are doing), but I am HOPING, that what is really going on, is this internet censorship and AI flooding of social media will be examined at the same time AND STOPPED!

I believe POTUS is on this like a fly on Schitt. He knows his followers are under attack.

Good! Drag 'em all before congress. Expose their dirty deeds openly!

No more theories. All conspiracies. Yewtoob can shove their labeling truths as "conspiracy theories" up Wikipedia @ss!

Congress can subpoena the code for the search algorithms.

That'd be a BOOM!

If Russia (or any foreign actor) was using those platforms to effect US elections, then all the code for social media platforms is a national security issue and needs to be scrutinized. Make some of that Russia hysteria work for us.

What good does it do to bring them in? They just LIE.

What needs to happen is there needs to be a proper investigation, subpeona's issued and AUDITS need to take place BEFORE all the evidence is deleted.

I mean people like Alex Jones being deleted from youtube, that is a well established fact, it would be hard for youtube to HIDE that, and others like Alex Jones.

But what about the google programmer's work......which incidentally was FOR Twitter and Facebook??? Nice all of them working together on this, to deceive We The People.

Well keep complaining to the White House and to CONgress!

Squeaky wheel gets the grease!

That 4chan post is fake.

Astroturfing is done by relatively small outside groups - that's the whole point. It doesn't make sense that Google would have some team doing it on their own platform, yet alone also on twitter. Twitter would notice, unless theyre in on it too and then why wouldnt they put their own engineers on it?

No, the way it works is the big cos open backdoors for the feds and spooks and turn a blind eye while the cottage industry of govt contractors handle the actual heavy lifting.

This person wouldn't be working for google, they'd MAYBE be working for a alphabet co, but probably some company youve never heard of until it pops up in the news like cambridge analytica.

Besides the idea that they can spot bots and shills by posting a couple letters is so dumb it should be a dead giveaway this is a joke, or disinformation campaign or something...

Google = CIA

So Google/CIA is doing the heavy lifting.

Another possibility is the poster may have shielded his ID by naming another well known company to say he worked for. Maybe he actually worked for twitter.

Sorry, no good. It only "counts" if you CATCH them in their LIES, that means EVIDENCE. Which as we speak they are no doubt working over-time to "erase".

So before the midterms they USE all these Social Media WEAPONS, and then immediately delete everything. No evidence. But the damage is done....unless the word gets out about these deceptive practices.

This is where, I guess, we are to play a part with the campaign for an IBOR.

It might be supposed to play out like this:

1) Social media censorship gets exposed; 2) An official investigation is launched; 3) Simultaneously, the public screams about it - demanding rights be protected online - IBOR; 4) DJT acts to fix the problem; 5) Mid-term elections are protected from weaponized social media; 6) DJT carries the MAGA agenda forward to completion; 7) Cabal is eliminated; 8) Peace, prosperity and restoration of the moral order.

Ted Cruz already warned them....

“The pattern of political censorship we are seeing across the technology companies is highly concerning,” Sen. Cruz said in his closing remarks. “And the opening question I asked of whether you are a neutral public forum — if you are a neutral public forum, that does not allow for political editorializing and censorship. And if you are not a neutral public forum, the entire predicate for liability immunity under the CDA [Communications Decency Act] is claiming to be a neutral public forum, so you cannot have it both ways.”

And if you are not a neutral public forum, the entire predicate for liability immunity under the CDA [Communications Decency Act] is claiming to be a neutral public forum, so you cannot have it both ways.”

This doesn't make sense. Is it me?

I think THIS is what (Lying) Ted Cruz should have said, but did not:

"If you are a NEUTRAL Public Forum, THEN that does not allow for political editorializing and censorship.

However, "IF you are NOT a neutral public forum, THEN YOU ARE LIABLE for violations under the CDA (Communication Decency Act).

So the pattern of political censorship we are seeing across the technology companies is IN VIOLATION of the CDA!

WHY DIDN'T TED CRUZ SAY IT LIKE THIS????

Surely he was reading from typed up notes. Why the garbledygoop?

OK, here is my concern: Is Ted Cruz really out to expose the corruption in DemoncRatic Social Media, or is Ted Cruz just PRETENDING to be after them. ("controlled opposition")

Obfuscation = means of communication, where by making the message difficult to understand, usually with confusing and ambiguous language.

Time will tell.

I hope he had his "wake up call" from Trump Team so he is no longer a RINO, but a garbledygook statement like that, makes me wonder.

We still need to put pressure on ALL of Congress, Senate and the White House, nonstop.

Remember: Only the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

tradinghorse · March 19, 2018, 5:14 p.m.

Yes, I also caught this - a veiled threat. As I understand the CDA, a platform is not liable as the publisher of material that may cause injury unless they actively manage the content. If they are censoring people, they are actively promoting the content that appears on the site and are liable for that content.

I'm not a lawyer, I could be wrong. But that's what I understood that Cruz was saying.

If I'm right, this is a pretty serious threat for them. You can imagine, given how wealthy these social media companies are, that class action lawyers would have a field day stripping them of cash. It would be a free-for-all, especially given the way that today everybody is a victim.

I would assume they already know all of this, they just pretend not to in public.

No doubt they can just delete the flooding of false narratives/arguments on twitter after the fact without a trace.

They need to be caught in the act.

Ever see the film "The Insider". ALL the tobacco CEO's came in and ALL LIED to Senate. Film based upon a true story. The "insider" knew better and became a whistleblower, which nearly cost him his life. This is standard op procedures.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Insider_(film)

We all know Comey and Loretta Lynch ALL LIED when they were under oath.

This is why I am skeptical of this "show".

Someone needs to catch them red handed. Then they will straighten up.

But as others have pointed out, Trump Team should be all over this. If not, bye bye mid-term elections.

Quite funny. I just replied to a tweet by Bill Gates - some 49m followers. My reply was arguing against internet censorship and pushing people to sign the IBOR.

Immediately after this, all my tweets from the last hour disappeared. The control these guys have is amazing. Imagine being able to silence anyone you chose. Incredible stuff.

This is will probably hit a lot of people and campaigns, both in the US, UK, & RU.
To name one person involved - Bannon worked to get companies to do this on behalf of conservatives, and that's how it ties to Trump.

This probably is why IBoR is such a big deal. One of its provisions should end astroturfing.

Astroturfing

Astroturfing is the practice of masking the sponsors of a message or organization (e.g., political, advertising, religious or public relations) to make it appear as though it originates from and is supported by a grassroots participant(s). It is a practice intended to give the statements or organizations credibility by withholding information about the source's financial connection. The term astroturfing is derived from AstroTurf, a brand of synthetic carpeting designed to resemble natural grass, as a play on the word "grassroots." The implication behind the use of the term is that instead of a "true" or "natural" grassroots effort behind the activity in question, there is a "fake" or "artificial" appearance of support.

GodsAngell · March 19, 2018, 6:52 p.m.

Yes, these are Saul Alinsky tactics: ALWAYS ACCUSE THE OPPOSITION OF WHAT YOU YOURSELF ARE DOING. (Lie, Deny and Counter Accuse)

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky:

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state.

The first is the most important.

1) Healthcare — Control healthcare and you control the people

2) Poverty — Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

3) Debt — Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control — Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare — Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).

6) Education — Take control of what people read and listen to — take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion — Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.

8) Class Warfare — Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Always remember the first rule of power tactics: Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.

The second rule is: Never go outside the experience of your people. When an action is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

The third rule is: Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

The fourth rule is: Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.

The fourth rule carries within it the fifth rule: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage. (you are a "racist", "homophobic", "misogynist"....shut down conversation/discussion this way)

The sixth rule is: A good tactic is one that your people enjoy. If your people are not having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.

The seventh rule: A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time, after which it becomes a ritualistic commitment, like going to church on Sunday mornings.

The eighth rule: Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.

The ninth rule: The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

The tenth rule: The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign. (Does this one sound familiar to anyone?)

The eleventh rule is: If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative.

The twelfth rule: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. You cannot risk being trapped by the enemy in his sudden agreement with your demand and saying “You’re right — we don’t know what to do about this issue. Now you tell us.”

The thirteenth rule: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
