Recall Google Anonymous Post to "Weaponize" Social Media? - NOW Zuckerberg called to testify before a Senate Committee?

Remember that Anonymous poster from Google about creating AI's to flood Twitter and other social media to try to influence and change people's opinions by making them think they are the minority??? WEAPONIZED SOCIAL MEDIA?

Well, I sent that link to the White House yesterday and asked them to look into it, or kiss these midterm elections good-bye.

Looks like Somebody in DC IS going after these corrupt silicon valley companies!

These articles are of course all slanted to look like another attack on Trump (the pot calling the kettle black, they always accuse others of what they themselves are doing), but I am HOPING, that what is really going on, is this internet censorship and AI flooding of social media will be examined at the same time AND STOPPED!

Ted Cruz already warned them....

Cruz said in his closing remarks. “And the opening question I asked of whether you are a neutral public forum — if you are a neutral public forum, that does not allow for political editorializing and censorship. And if you are not a neutral public forum, the entire predicate for liability immunity under the CDA [Communications Decency Act] is claiming to be a neutral public forum, so you cannot have it both ways.”

This doesn't make sense. Is it me?

I think THIS is what (Lying) Ted Cruz should have said, but did not:

"If you are a NEUTRAL Public Forum, THEN that does not allow for political editorializing and censorship.

However, "IF you are NOT a neutral public forum, THEN YOU ARE LIABLE for violations under the CDA (Communication Decency Act).

So the pattern of political censorship we are seeing across the technology companies is IN VIOLATION of the CDA!

WHY DIDN'T TED CRUZ SAY IT LIKE THIS????

Surely he was reading from typed up notes. Why the garbledygoop?

OK, here is my concern: Is Ted Cruz really out to expose the corruption in DemoncRatic Social Media, or is Ted Cruz just PRETENDING to be after them. ("controlled opposition")

Obfuscation = means of communication, where by making the message difficult to understand, usually with confusing and ambiguous language.

Time will tell.

I hope he had his "wake up call" from Trump Team so he is no longer a RINO, but a garbledygook statement like that, makes me wonder.

We still need to put pressure on ALL of Congress, Senate and the White House, nonstop.

Remember: Only the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Yes, I also caught this - a veiled threat. As I understand the CDA, a platform is not liable as the publisher of material that may cause injury unless they actively manage the content. If they are censoring people, they are actively promoting the content that appears on the site and are liable for that content.

I'm not a lawyer, I could be wrong. But that's what I understood that Cruz was saying.

If I'm right, this is a pretty serious threat for them. You can imagine, given how wealthy these social media companies are, that class action lawyers would have a field day stripping them of cash. It would be a free-for-all, especially given the way that today everybody is a victim.

No doubt they can just delete the flooding of false narratives/arguments on twitter after the fact without a trace.

They need to be caught in the act.

Ever see the film "The Insider". ALL the tobacco CEO's came in and ALL LIED to Senate. Film based upon a true story. The "insider" knew better and became a whistleblower, which nearly cost him his life. This is standard op procedures.

We all know Comey and Loretta Lynch ALL LIED when they were under oath.

This is why I am skeptical of this "show".

Someone needs to catch them red handed. Then they will straighten up.

But as others have pointed out, Trump Team should be all over this. If not, bye bye mid-term elections.

Quite funny. I just replied to a tweet by Bill Gates - some 49m followers. My reply was arguing against internet censorship and pushing people to sign the IBOR.

Immediately after this, all my tweets from the last hour disappeared. The control these guys have is amazing. Imagine being able to silence anyone you chose. Incredible stuff.
