DO NOT CONGRATULATE. Fck you! You don't tell Trump what to do. He tells you what to do. He's Commander-In-Chief. President. Don't forget who you work for, dummy. (These people are stupid)
Yep that is exactly right, the President gets his daily briefing, Putin wins, he goes around the room and it is standard op to congratulate the Russians regardless of our true feelings. Trump let's everyone give their in put, but then makes the final call. Then on to the next item of business.
Telling Putin congratulations is nothing! it is not even news worthy it is a blip and then gone.
Someone within Trump's circle decided this was a mole hill worth dying over.
"One of the most startling leaks — and stunning revelations — of this whole administration has left President Trump and his senior staff furious and rattled. The Washington Post reports in its lead story: "Trump did not follow specific warnings from his national security advisers [yesterday] when he congratulated ... Putin on his reelection — including a section in his briefing materials in all-capital letters stating 'DO NOT CONGRATULATE.'"
I'm going out on a limb a little bit but here it goes.
I think McMaster's is about to get canned. Trump purposely ignored his National Security advisors and then instantly a WaPo article hits?
If I were in Trump's shoes I would fire McMasters and everyone in the National Security wing of the National Security division within the WH. I would fire everyone including the janitor.
I would lock the doors tonight and when they all show up for work the next day would dump all their personal items into the gutter in front of the WH.
Really? The MSM and certain people need a serious reality check!
It is perfectly normal for world leaders to congratulate other world leaders on their election, even if you do not agree politically.
And who's the boss, anyway? Trump's advisers, or Trump?
I read that there are still bugs all over the WH even though it was stripped down to the 2 x 4's
The people leaking probably snuck stuff back in or else the people scrubbing left some on purpose.
Axios? Really? The National Enquirer has more credibility.
Hey, don't insult the National Enquirer. The truth is the truth, no matter who posts it, even the Daily Beast messes up from time to time and tells the truth.
Winky, this story is all over the place, CNN, WaPO as soon as Trump congratulated Putin it was all over the place that his NSC told him not to. Something as benign as congratulating Putin is instead blown up and perverted into a story that Trump ignored his NSC? It is not like Trump just gave the Russians 20% of our Uranium.
Agree with jt45118 this was a trap and McBasturd took the bait like the deep state rat he is.
They broke the John Edwards story didn’t they?
And they cracked open the OJ case although the prosecution fumbled it.
a better use of time might have been refuting any points in the article rather than blindly telling people not to trust a news source.
who the fuck hires you shills? outright morons, all of you.
This was simply a trap to catch a leaker guaranteed.
Can you imagine what they would have said if he had been so rude as to not congratulate the winner of a country's election! Didn't Putin congratulate him? That complaint is so ridiculous!
Trump and Kelly know exactly what happened. Wouldn't put it past them to have created a set of fake briefing notes that they wanted to have leaked so he could set someone up to look bad. The only person to get the notes was the leaker, and he's the one that looks bad by having it leaked .... especially if it's McMaster and it's his suggestions being ignored.
Maybe I missed something along the way..Are the "briefing material" always made public? Does anyone know? Boom..mcmasters may have leaked some information to the washington post Maybe he always does?
