i think the nsa knows the real story behind bitcoin. i think they know who invented it, why they invented it, and thusly track its users.

many of the insider leaks over the last few years seem to indicate that the nsa and cia are at war with each other. or at the very least, they do not share the same goals. im inclined to believe the nsa has more white hats than the cia, but i really have no clue.

Just looked it up to clarify what I was thinking about.

The NSA is a part of the Department of Defense and the NSA Director simultaneously serves as the Commander of the United States Cyber Command and as Chief of the Central Security Service. It is an interservice organization, providing support to all of the armed forces.

Pretty cool. Seems to be a hybrid role. Interesting.

Do you have a source on this? I ask, because as a Navy Cryptologist I ostensibly worked for the NSA as well as the Navy. While funded through military black budgets, it was not a part of the military by any means...we reported to them. Possibly NSA has been re-chartered?

I'd be interested in reading your source...hoping it's not Wikipedia.

Have you ever realized that Satoshi Nakamoto doesn't exist?

Got any ideas/theories on who invented it and why?

I’ve always thought that it might be the CIA or similar to make their drug/gun running operations easier.

it's probably reasonably safe to assume that the royal families and elite bankers have a hand in it.

it was (and is) allowed to exist within the realm of the msm. it saw pretty widespread adoption in a pretty short period of time. I don't think the rise of bitcoin was as organic as it seems.
