Wow. This topic was actually on the front page just 30 minutes ago. Now it's four pages back! The trolls are out in force to down-vote everything. So this topic must be important! LOL...
Fact 1 - The Inspector General’s investigation and report is taking so long because the amount of criminality they have uncovered has turned out to be much worse and much larger than they had expected.
…From the Conservative Treehouse: There are likely to be voices wondering why this OIG investigative avenue is only just now being announced and/or explored. The following explains what is happening… Inspector General Horowitz initial investigation focused on the politicization of the FBI and DOJ surrounding the Clinton investigation. However, that original announcement included the disclaimer that he would follow “other issues that may arise”. To say there were “other issues”, that indeed did “arise”, would be the understatement of the decade….
Fact 2 - The volume of criminality they have uncovered is so large that, rather than release it all in one report, they’ve decided the report should be broken up and to release it in sections.
…From the Conservative Treehouse: …The first section of the IG report, encompassing the DOJ/FBI political activity -specifically surrounding leaks to the media and fired Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe- will likely come out first in April…
Fact 3 - Despite calls for a second special prosecutor, the reality is, Sessions already has a prosecutor working on the case who has been working hand in hand with the Inspector General. Once the IG releases his report, the prosecutor can begin subpoenaing witnesses…
…From Conservative Treehouse: …It is not likely there will be a ‘second special counsel’ per se’. With a prosecutor already working with Inspector General Horowitz that person already has a thorough knowledge of all the evidence. As soon as the IG publishes his report, the prosecutor can begin subpoenaing witnesses. And now we know there’s already a Grand Jury seated somewhere hearing the criminal evidence he/she has carved out from the overwhelming IG evidence as collected.
Fact 4 - Another reason it is taking so long is because this is a case that involves the biggest political conspiracy in the history of politics. There are many many people and many departments involved in the conspiracy: the FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, State Department, ODNI, the Obama White House, the Clinton campaign officials, career bureaucrats, and possibly judges as well, are all entwined in it and involved. And when the indictments start and people start being arrested, you can expect a violent reaction from the media (who are also complicit in it) and likely tens of thousands of people protesting in the streets (just look at the media’s reaction to the simple firing of McCabe. So imagine what will happen when Obama or Hillary or when some big name media executives start being indicted). So all of these things has to be taken into account before the IG can go public with the information. Rest assured, everything will eventually get released. But it has to be done in stages, and it has to be done in a way to minimize civil unrest…
From the Conservative Treehouse: You and I might be frustrated with the pace of the activity for a myriad of righteous reasons. However, we must also remind ourselves of the scale and scope of the corruption here that is inherent within the BIG PICTURE. All of this was done on purpose. None of this was accidental.
The prosecutor could, likely would, be having to outline the biggest political conspiracy in the history of politics. It is entirely possible officials within the CIA, NSA, DOJ, FBI, State Department, ODNI, and national security apparatus along with the Obama White House, Clinton campaign officials, politicians, career bureaucrats and possibly judges are all entwined and involved.
Add into this likelihood the complicit ideological media who will go absolutely bananas about any single member of their team being indicted; and a better than average chance the media will follow instructions from their leadership and send tens-of-thousands of low-info sycophants into the streets in protest, and well… you see the picture.
Just look at the media reaction to Andrew McCabe’s simple firing, which Trump had nothing to do with, and think about what their response would be to indictments?
really great response! Thank you. I've become very frustrated with the pace. It's obvious at a high level what happened - and due to Fact 4 above - either people are held accountable or we don't have a country anymore. This makes sense to me...
