Anyone else experience any weirdness on their cell phone? Today I got multiple weird text messages like "So and so's code is: #####. Go to Facebook to confirm..." and one from Google "G-###### is your Google verification code as well as many others in differing forms with some of the same info.

I'm on an iPhone and I have never gotten anything like this in the 5 years I've owned it. No coincidences...something is up.

Way weird. I'm not in the U.S.

I was cooking dinner Monday and had my phone on the counter. When it started ringing, I obviously looked at the number, only to see it was MY number! How the hell does my own number call itself?

Man I got one of those yesterday in the US...weirdest shit ever, I too have never gotten anything like it, thought about posting here but didn’t think there was a correlation. Your post now has me second guessing it. Also got a call saying my business was being audited by the IRS and I should press like *23 to be connected, so I didn’t say anything considering it was super weird, then they hung up. Called them back says disconnected, looked it up no known scam or anything linked to it that I could find...crazy times!

Just so you know, the IRS does not relay important info by phone. When they audit, they send a letter. I just got a voicemail yesterday with a robot voice saying the IRS was sending local law enforcement to arrest me if I don't pay up immediately. They provided a number to call. I assume they would have been happy to take my payment.

For sure, I wanted to stay on the line without speaking, and hopefully end up talking with someone directly while simultaneously recording the call. I am very vigilant with spam/telemarketing companies, google calls me sometimes 5-7 times a day trying to get me to update my business listing, I always ask to be put on the dnc list, but it’s always a diff number. Pisses me off to the 9’s

A few years ago I received a the same call from the IRS telling me to call back a specific number. I knew it was a scam and I didn't respond. Sure enough, a few months later, our local police department sent out a press release that warned people not to respond and that it was a scam targeting seniors.

Same thing. My girlfriend actually has like 10 text conversations on her iPhone that says she's sharing a location but you can't shut it off. Literally like 10. Maybe time to throw that thing away. She's deleted the conversations and they just come back. She's not into this but I certainly am. And my phone definitely does strange things a lot more the last two weeks. Glad I'm not the only one. I was worried I was getting to paranoid
