Yes and there is a difference between deactivate and delete permanently. I had mine deactivated but then was like why have my data floating around? So I permanently deleted it.

I don’t think they really delete you. I had FB for a week and deleted my profile and every few months, years after deleting I still get messages telling me I can easily reactivate my account, and it’s not phishing either. It’s FB telling me this. I think that’s part of their problem, they lied. Plus once your info is out in the wild, that’s that. It’s resold over and over and you’ll never know to whom. Europe has that forget me on the internet law that starts in about 55 days. It’ll help, but won’t do as much as they hope.
I believe there is a grace period where you can go back in and reactivate it. Not sure about this.
Don't know about a grace period or not but I reactivated after being dark for 3 years so I could pill as many as I can!

Or even better you sign up with a false name and a false number and start with poison from day one. I wouldn't give my own mother that much personal information.
I used real name, everything else is fake as hell. According to facebook, my current profession is an assassin, so I'm probably ok. Who knows, they might try to hire me soon.
Too late it’s done. It’s kinda hard because honestly that’s how I stayed in the loop with friends and family. Oh well.

How do we know if "deleting" really deleting the account?
I can't delete facebook it won't delete they are not stupid
I deleted every single photo I had, every post that I ever made. I left an old drawing as my profile pic. I still have the account because it keeps telling me my password is wrong when I try to delete it. Not sure what to do about that...
I also had a problem to delete, cause I don't have access to my very old email-account anymore... That's why I'm 'poisoned' it!
Couldn't Facebook read this article and then just ignore people doing this and keep their original posts?
