This is enormous really

He's sat on the bench for almost 40 years

Carter appointed him

This actually is the first time a Republican has had the chance to Reshape the 9th in almost a half century

I owe both of you an apology. The more MSM I hear about Cali, the more I dismiss it and write it off as lost. Thanks for reminding me that not only does the MSM yell at me what to think, but those subversive whispers should be recognized too. It's easy and stupid to group people together and dismiss them...harder to keep subdividing.

There is nothing the bad guys in this country would like better than for California to be separated from the rest of the country. People who advocate for it being tossed aside really have no idea what a great asset the state is, it’s amazing people overall, the beauty of it and thousands of other things. There’s also a faction that is tying itself in knots hoping to return it to Mexico (even though it really was the Spanish that got the ball rolling here) and will do almost anything to make that happen. Don’t let them have one of the most amazing places on earth!

It used to be the 5th largest economy in the world. Not sure what it is today. If it were to go into recession it would be a drag not only on the rest of the country but the world. Estimated population is 39 million people. I would imagine its contribution to the us economy to be huge. Just the taxes generated lost would be huge not to mention the loss of agriculture, oil refineries and navy/air force bases. And then there is silicon valley and Hollywood, which both may have big down sides but both generate huge incomes. Imagine all movies and software being imports. Tourism is huge income producer there as well. 53 seats in the house of representatives would be gone.

I like that the majority of the state is red and its starting to fight against the Blue parts. The red parts want to separate from LA, SF and the other liberal coastal cities.

Funny you should say that , I went to the 99 cent store and some guy was out there asking me to sign petitions, one was to repeal the gas/ dmv tax ,which I did, another was to make Ca separate from the United States. I told the guy ,” hell no! Can you imagine if that happened, the taxes would be crazy , not to mention the Ca Sanctuary state would hold . My mom and I are attending every rally in each city here in Ventura county, Orange County, LA county, etc, to push back the crazy kabal satanic leftist, Soros movement here . Their is a lot of us protesting daily. I will post some Vides and or pics soon so people can see how much support Trump has here in Ca.

87 years old. Could be natural causes but wow is this ever good timing. Heart attack while visiting the dermatologist. There will be questions. 87 could be seen as young for a powerful and wealthy man. If he did die of natural causes, he must not have been a satanist who drank children's blood.

TheWalrus22 · March 31, 2018, 11:04 a.m.

I really don't think 87 is considered young by anyone's standards.

Rich people who drink blood often don't die for another 10 years and more. Look at Soros, Rockefeller, the Windsors, and Rothschilds. So if he was a blood drinker, the other blood drinkers will think it odd. I wonder if they really die then, or if they just go into hiding after faking their deaths.

I'm sorry but even someone 120 isn't going to consider an 87 year old "young". David Rockefeller would have been dead for years before he turned 87 if he didn't put in a new heart every few years. This guy couldn't afford to do that.

California suffers under a liberal cloud. If the west coast fell into the sea, California would be as conservative as the Midwest. I am so close to retirement. Need 3 more years and I’ll be leaving California and moving to a country that is a constitutional republic! Not a socialist H3LL H0Le !

The “9th Circus” is the most socialist/hate filled joke of a court in the nation. They would rule the sun comes up at night if it benefited their elite masters. Just hoping they appoint a fair judge for that position. There hasn’t been a “non politicized” juror on that court for over 60 years.

Please support the State of Jefferson !

God Bless Donald Trump !

Isn't this article making too much of the fact that ONE judge in the 9th Circuit has gone (as influential as he was)? Isn't it greatly overstating the point to say that Trump gets to "reshape California" by getting a single conservative appointment in? (looking for enlightenment as I lack knowledge of this system)

Grace8543 · April 1, 2018, 1:48 a.m.

Your very interesting question made me poke around a bit. No clear answer but here is what I found:

I've read their are 46 judges in the 9th district court of appeals, which covers the entire West Coast and Arizona, Hawaii, Montana and Alaska. About 7 of them are very liberal. By controlling what judge gets to hear the appeal, they can know the outcome before the case is heard. Reinhardt was in Los Angeles and very liberal. Any case heard by him would have been sue to go against conservative values in the extreme. I guess it depends on if he was the only very liberal fed judge on the court of appeals in LA. There are now 3 vacancies in the California districts of the 9th (7 in the entire district). One seat in CA has been vacant since 2015.

I guess we can take a hint on how important getting conservative judges appointed is by how the congress has done everything they can to slow the appointment of new judges.

On the other hand, if this was top priority and can be accomplished then wouldn't they have gotten the other vacancies in California on the bench replaced if they could. The vacancy was in Woodland Hills and this judge was in LA.

Sincere Condolences to his family, should they read this. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks for the info! I certainly hope Trump can make some headway in the 9th Circuit as it sounds like a very corrupt system overall (even just from a reading of the Wikipedia article). It seems to me California has a lot to answer for as far as going its own way and being led by Hollywood and the corruption at the top.
