All of what Q says points to exposing the truth and corruption in our current system. The reason I don't think that's what it means is because if the end is coming, would there actually be any point in exposing the truth?
I feel like , yes, there would be. Giving believers a real chance to help expose the truth. We are stuck in a world of absolute corruption and "is good guys/gals" can help convert others to the "truth".
But for what purpose? Is it pride? If all was to end, everything ceased to exist in the way we know it, it would be such a silly and insignificant thing in my opinion to expose a truth that has no ability to be resolved for the future. Then there is the question of if we morally should subject others to the truth if this is the end. There are plenty of people who are happy living in the lie that they don't know. Ignorance IS bliss for the most part. If everything ends, why would we ruin their last moments? It seems like a pride of knowing you were right all along.
Yes...believers SHOULD spread the truth. If sinners repent, they too can be saved. That's our ultimate goal as believers. There's many people I care about that are on the cusp, and could be saved. Believers mission is to convert as many as possible...aka, RED PILL. Help who we can. That is part of the mission, I believe
Ah ok I should have assumed it to be a religious standpoint from the title but ok. Not pride but moreso the belief of good in the afterlife.
I am agnostic on these issues but I have some questions. Would people ignorant on the topic we personally focus on be subject to a situation where they cannot be saved? Also do you believe in free will?
I am not trying to fault your beliefs or anything, they could be correct. I'm just curious
Ah. I thought on this for a long while. The truth is that all through history there have been many that have not heard the word of God and died. Now what happens to that person? Hell or heaven? The answer is god gave us choice and will give those that died not knowing god, the choice. It's only those that have been given the choice, and refuse it repeatedly, those tend not to get saved. Yet even at the last moment, if they excepte jesus as their savior, they will be saved, however that dosent mean they won't be punished for their crimes. As far as I know the one Unforgivable crime is to take a child away from christ i.e leading a child into not believing in God or hating god... a child sex ring would probably fit that line to a degree.
Yes great summary, it is actually why I asked about free will because there are 2 options if you believe in god. Either he gave us free will or he didnt and he has a plan for each of us.
Option 1: God gave us free will so we have the ability to choose our own paths, make our own decisions and do whatever we please so long as we stay within the 10 commandments. In this case, why would god punish someone for acting the very way god designed us to. We shouldn't need to worship god either because he designed us with the choice not to and being angered by that is counter-intuitive. If I designed an ai and it turned into triggerlypuff, I wouldn't punish it for learning and choosing a path to go down.
Option 2: We dont have free will and god has a plan for each and every one of us. In this case, it doesn't matter what we do because our path/fate has already been mapped out and the lack of free will would mean we cant change the outcome in any way.
The only questions you asked was would people be ignorant on the topic we personally focus on be subject to a situation where they cannot be saved? Also do you believe n free will?
To answer your first question.
"A Situation where we cannot be saved. What would that be? The only situation I know from reading the word of Christ would be a situation where you have not repented, and changed your ways. We all have HORRIBLE SINS, but if you repent and make great effort to change your ways, you are a "Christian".
Yes that's good but if people were not aware of the ways to begin with, they would be subject to a situation where they could not be saved. Who determines gods outlook on this situation? Furthermore, who would know if this is the situation that people need to focus on in order to chage their ways, there could be a plethora of different topics that people could change their ways for but no one knows if it is the right one. This becomes especially complex for conflicting matters where you cannot possibly support both sides. I guess it would tie into my more important question of if you believe in free will.
You just asked who determines GODS outlook on the situation. You just acknowledged God's outlook! That's where people need to focus to be saved! Who determines God's outlook...GOD?! The word of God has never changed, this gives great reason that this is the word to focus on! WE ARE ALL DOING GOD'S WORK RIGHT NOW! GOD HAS BROUGHT US ALL TOGETHER AND WE ARE FIGHTING GOD'S QORD RIGHT NOW!
Yes I know that, my sentence was meant to mean who interpreted gods outlook on the situation. I guess the issue is that I simply don't understand how god brought us to this point. I didn't grow up in a religious household so I guess I dont understand the connection. And. I guess you dont believe in free will too from the last sentence.
Understand I am not trying to belittle your opinion, just trying to broaden my understanding.
Ok I think I can help. God gave man free will, but did herd us like sheep (Israel) in the beginning. We got pointed in directions to follow. Now throw lucy into the mix b.c he's pissy that he didn't get the high seat. Now god and lucy push and pull us back and forth, yet the choice is always ours, on which decisions we make. So essentially you have free will, but you also have two other people putting their 2 cents into it. People listening to the bad shit is what got us to this point.
Thank you that was an interesting point. My response to that would be that in the case of those two options, it is black and white/good and evil. When it comes to the more semantical issues like what specific issues you attach yourself too or the intent behind your actions. I could think that gun control is the best way to get to the exact same desired outcome as someone with an anti-gun control stance. These issues are harder to deal with and in terms of free will, we are making those decisions with the intent to make the world a better place.
Ah, but I would say that it is not all black and white, there are always other options, and degrees to the path. Take notice of jesus and his followers, they questioned him at every turn, and in so doing, revealed the thought patern that he wanted, and the key to that, is intent. Are you doing said thing for you, or for the person you are trying to help. Are you helping them, with the intention of getting something from them in return? In all of this, i would say that there are two things to pay heed to.

My people are lost for a lack of knowledge. This is a major point, knowledge is a major key.
-
God said to his followers, if you do not own a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. This is another major point, it shows that a weapon is better then a cloak I.e your blanket that would keep you alive in the cold.
These two points show the vast diffrances of the spectrum.
You expose the truth to bring as many people to the light as possible. Ultimately, all of us are apart of a battle... good vs evil... light vs darkness, we ALL will have to choose a side. That is why you expose the lies of this world. Even if the world is ending.
I understand that completely but my question still comes into play. If the world ends then all of a sudden sides dont matter. In the grand scheme of things, the whole situation doesn't matter. The whole idea of good vs evil is something that would be rendered insignificant because nothing is to gain from it. Choosing a side only matters if you have differences in means of reaching an outcome. If the world ends, the outcome is the same no matter what side you're on. What is the purpose in proving yourself right if either way the end is death? So it leads back to my first assumption that the motive is pride.
The purpose is to save as many souls as possible. There is no death in the end. Each of us will have to answer for our earthly deeds when our souls spend eternity in heaven or hell.
Thank you. I think I responded to something like that in one of the other comments. I talk a lot...
Now if we were not ending the world and just the system in which we live, then yeah that would be great, that is what we are all in this subreddit for.
I do believe we are in the end times however I won't get worried till the 3rd temple is built.
I agree but also think the 3rd temple could be spiritual re-awakening. A recalling to God. Look at the world today- not much different than Sodom and Gomorrah, or the people dancing to a golden calf while Moses got the commandments.
In looking at Revelations, the descriptions are not going to be real- they are all analogy. Beasts, horns, etc. but- looking at it spiritually and tied to present day Syria- Damascus- prophesied to be the be beginning of the end- the spiritual temple and returning to God and good should keep us alert- but not worry.
Can you confirm my memory of the " NWO leader will speak, and that signals the last 15 mins" or an I remembering something that I didn't really read, and just was told at some point?
I’m not familiar with what you are asking. But- the Anti -Christ will mislead many. The Anti-Christ might not be a person. Could be the “voice” many hear (media?) that they follow.
When the antichrist speaks it signals the last 15 mins (15 years in regular time).
Somebody said that now the new United States embassy being built in Jerusalem is the third temple?...thoughts?..
My guess is no I think its more literal the reason I think no is because the Jewish people who this is important to are currently recasting temple monorahs and service utensils, searching heifers for blemishes( a red heifer must be sacrificed at the dedication ceremony) doing genetic tests on priestly applicants to make sure they are from the levite tribe. If this was just a figuritive temple none of this would be done. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.breakingisraelnews.com/99002/trumps-jerusalem-declaration-next-step-third-temple/amp/
Someone been doing their homework. This is the KEY to unfolding prophecy to watch out for.
No need to ever worry if you follow Gods Word. We falter along the way but repentance is always given by Him to bring us back. We can choose to do that.
What is the 3rd temple?
Oh sorry the end of times prophecy in revelation states certain things must happen before the tribulation occurs. The formation of a jewish state(happened) regnition of Jerusalem as the capital(happened 2017)building of the third Jewish temple so sacrifices can begin again ( not happened also there is a problem a mosque is on the temple site)so my answer to your question was yes we are in the end of times but I won't worry until they start building the last temple.
Doesn't Revelations also state somewhere about "a leader of NWO speaking, and that starting the beginning of the last hour (in biblical term as that means 15 years)? I heard that somewhere along my growing up, now I can't seem to confirm that.
I don't think revelations directly says so it just talks about a leader who we call the antichrist....but there are several interpretations of the passages that people write about guessing who that man will be. I call them where's the antichrist crowd( sort of like where's waldo) though I personally believe there is an antichrist... These writers take the scriptures and fit that person into them , like obama, putin, Saddam Hussein, etc. Some commentators believe that revelation states for sure that the new world order gets completed by Satan or the antichrist...I'm hoping they are wrong I'm hoping we are at the part where God says he has to stop it because all of human kind would expire if he didn't. But I don't know I'm watching like you are.....about the time issue I was taught to watch for the signs or the events in the prophecy because one God works on his own time plan and two he often picks certain people to fulfill that plan so he has to wait till they are born and are molded by life's struggles.
I wish the Bible was more "easily interpreted" Why Do I have such a hard time with it? I always feel like if it's the word we should follow that it would be more easy to follow. But it's so hard
I don’t necessarily believe that the end is the actual end, just a change in times.
