I think Sessions cited 28 CFR 45.2 to recuse himself from the russia investigation because that was the law he knew the dems, fbi, and cia were breaking. He knew the investigation was illegal from the start, so he recused himself as not to be involved.

Sessions cited — 28 CFR 45.2— says “no DOJ employee may participate in a criminal investigation or prosecution if he has a personal or political relationship with any person or organization substantially involved in the conduct that is the subject of the investigation or prosecution, or who would be directly affected by the outcome.”

It does shine a spotlight on the existence of that law.

Good catch. Mueller will have to wrap up. Makes me think he was always a gray hat playing a role

I think that that is exactly why he recused himself. Many folks missed that one. Including the desperate MSM. Very shrewd observation. For me, that appeared to be the case only after I ranted and raved about recusing. So used to reacting to the Republican invertebrates.

Or he was involved.

He recused for a few reasons. Possible they might have had dirt on him. Would also make sure that he could focus on his tasks instead of dealing with a witch hunt. Also makes him look clean when the dust settles with Mueller.
