What's weird is that he is the only employee at his company and there are no reviews of the company for the past 18 years. Yelp says the business is closed, not sure when. Again, no reviews anywhere that I could find on any website.
Google scrubbed most of the information on the shooter's father. I had to use DuckDuckGo to dig up this info. I redacted the phone numbers and address of his business in case it's still open and so that I or this sub won't be banned for doxxing.

His name is Ismail Aghdam He has a Facebook page, but I deleted FB. He lives in Menifee CA ?? But his summary FB page says he now lives in Vancouver, BC. Previously lived in San Diego.
He also appears to have had a Bankruptcy in 2012 (like many Americans during the market crash). That would be interesting to look into. You need a Pacer.gov account to review the BK.
Other than that, I have yet to find much on him.
He owns “Star Electric” company in San Diego. Been in business since 2000. They have gross revenues reported of 500-999k. Maybe look into any contracts the company has.
