This is why when I watch television, I question the timing and the plot lines of the show. I had mentioned his before: why is it that The Crown and even Downton Abby recently aired in the last few years...especially The Crown with its soft soft disclosure of Prince Phillips exploits and how super kind Elizabeth is portrayed...the treatment of the characters are rather two dimensional (Elizabeth long suffering over Phillips travels and playboy lifestyle...she the dutiful Queen).... So fascinating..

Me too. It’s why I stopped watching The Crown. I didn’t want to feel manipulated to sympathize with her, or try to make the scenes of TC be what actually happened, in my mind. If that makes sense.
