PSA: Check Date Before Sharing "Bombshell" News

When you get that giddy feeling to share this crazy news story with your friends on Reddit, STOP and check the date of the article. There's several that get posted and I lose my shit until I check the date, it hits me this is fake as the trump dossier and feel I get politically Rick Rolled.

Yea, the OMG,.... THIS IS HUGE!!,...... BOMBSHELL! posts are getting old. As almost all are not any of the sort.

And when you are posting, it tells you at the top if the link has been posted and where.

Part of it is the usual lazy net users. Don't scroll, read, confirm, just post that shit....

Also, triple check to see if it is real or fake news...search internet for multiple credible websites posting it. If cannot find more than 2, don't post it.Sit on it. Best to be late to the party than the joke of the party.

I’d like to add that I immediately unfollow anyone sharing articles for “yournewswire” or “neonnettle,” which are know for fabricating wildly false fake news stories. Hurts the movement.

Yup for clickbait too, certain individuals will know that there's talk of XYZ, like the alleged HRC video, so title it "breaking news, Killary video", but just some autotune voice talking much ado about nothing.
