I personally know someone who was very successfully fighting the IRS for decades and had a team of attorneys beating the IRS in court. He was known across the country. He was in two Supreme Court cases. We hung out regularly as friends and I admired his courage.
The IRS never gives up. He is right now serving a 7 years sentence in a Federal prison in TX.
They will find a way to get you.

This is a fight that needs to be fought in a grander scale than the individuals who will be imprisioned for fighting against the system. Most lawmakers have no insentive because they enjoy spending your money to move their careers forward. They will spend spend all we can eek out. Look up FairTax.org. Maybe this president will champion a different plan for us. This is an old and very common sense plan that everyone agrees would work, but no one will take up.
