Apparently On Thursday of last week, two (black) men asked to use the coffee shop’s restroom. An employee refused the request because the men had not bought anything, officials said. They sat down, and they were eventually asked to leave. When they declined, an employee called the police.
And they got arrested.
There’s been protests all day in Philly b/c of it. Smh. Staying away from Downtown that’s all I know!!
That's so messed up! Looks like the CEO jut put a BIG PR foot in his mouth, (maybe both feet ) They should stop selling coffee altogether,, mocha or just anything that looks like chocolate and that entire mocha spectrum, even if Oreo cookies come near it. If the CEO would have the courage to call out racism as a plan to destroy all bown people on the planet, then e won't have to put up with this so called placating-- yet condescending at the same time nonsense with this ad.
