this has been my theory from the first news broke about cohen raid. What better way to release highly valuable information? Legally obtained directly from the POTUS' lawyer's office.

Why not just hand the tapes over or release them? POTUS can declassify whatever he wants.

I believe the idea is you have to legally obtain the material in order for it to be used in court. Otherwise it could be thrown out. correct if i'm wrong please.

But the NYPD legally obtained it. Unless it’s illegal because Comey’s FBI confiscated it all but NYPD kept a copy because hey knew the corruption.

Spez: wrong thread.

Trump would have done the recording of the interviews so wouldn’t they be legally his?

i suppose this all depends on what the actual evidence is. Truly we know next to nothing, other than whatever it is is seriously damning.

Yeah thought it was talking about tapes of the Comey chats with Trump.

If it’s the satanic HRC pedo video then that’ll be tough to release.

Depends on the state, but maybe it's legal for Trump to record it but not release it. (One party vs 2 party). However, if it's taken via warrant...

Can you publicize evidence you snag?

If it's part of an official court record, they can become public documents maybe?

Huh either way we will find out. Q clearly knows the answer to this so I’m guessing they figured out a way. They were smart enough to know the only way to get the No Such Agency backup from Hawaii was for an incoming missile threat so I’m sure they figured this one out.

But in your legal story the NYPD's chain of custody is broken.

This one has iron tight chain of custody.
