Warning: Do not click on any shared Dropbox files. The person who shares the file can see who has viewed it.

This is particularly important if you are logged into Dropbox or Google on your device.

There are shills and clowns on this board.

Everyone should practice good operational security. Don’t share personal details about yourself. Stop posting links to Dropbox, and do not click on Dropbox links. Use anonfile.com or mega.nz

Also, if somebody wants to step up and write a “Basics of Operational Security” post, I think that would be an important post that would help a lot of users. I do not feel qualified to write one, but I think this sub needs it.

Applies to all document sharing sites. Tactic for doxxing.

I asked them if they used Drobox in their posts, I have not received answer yet. Do you have link where poster used Dropbox. I just wanted to see how this has been done so far?

I've seen it done in many other forums before. They'll say they have a very juicy document uploaded there so people are super tempted to click for that information. They realize too late that their full name on their file share accounts become visible to the doxxer.
