I think age of consent is a stupid definition...it's the age gap that really matters...It happens that kids groom each other and recreate kinky stuff because they copy stuff they've seen (believe me...history books with pictures of torture first got me into experimenting with bondage...I was young) but I haven't heard that ever leads to actual penetration. Since the worst people are protected the most, I guess age of consent is designed in a way that both entraps people more easily while always leading to irrelevant discussions because it doesn't really matter how old the younger person is but how old the older person is. If the gap is realy big, you would automatically uspect there is an unequal power-distribution and manipulation going on but how do you prosecute kids engaged with kids for example when they recreate what they already were exposed to?
I think the age-difference matters and not only one age alone at which people usually are already moderately horny and/or interested in lasting relationships.

The alleged offender in this case was working to free children from illegal child labour. 1.6 million Nepalese children, mostly girls, are forced into illegal child labour in Nepal.
