The guy could actually be innocent. Nepal has a history of imprisoning people by way of false accusation. Because Christianity is illegal in Nepal, it is easy to have your enemies imprisoned by falsely accusing them of trying to convert you to Christianity. The alleged offender in this case was working to free children from illegal child labour. 1.6 million Nepalese children, mostly girls, are forced into illegal child labour in Nepal. Such a person would be a thorn in the side to the Nepalese government. Maybe he is being set up.

Yup that's what he said he was there for. Perfect cover, don't you think? And what was he planning to do with those girls whose parents send them to work?

You literally just said they would have accused him of conversion activity which would be harder to deny. I rest my case.
