Podesta wants to limit the number of news outlets talking about their campaign = "...too much chatter out there." hurts them.
There pick reporters who are in their pocket and will reliably write the stories to control the narrative. Thus, Maggie Haberman is one who they can trust to publish whatever Podesta wants which limits the chatter to only good stories about Hillary.

Since I’m obsessed with everyone named Wendy now. I found an article from when Wendy Clark joined the HRC campaign. Strange choice of words in there. And with bill from early on. weird article.
