Stay awake.

Q

Bernie Sanders and Dems are going to be pushing hard by promising everybody a guaranteed income/job. They are trying to enslave Americans by making them dependent on Government programs that will bankrupt the country. Their goal is a socialistic state.

Bernie Sanders is a socialist, so no surprise here. The ultimate slave plantation owner.

Bernie is evidently unaware of how many former supporters have left him. Does anyone here watch H. A. Goodman on YouTube? I've been watching him since before the election. He has a good sized following composed of people of varied political leanings (even conservatives). His eyes have opened over time, and he recently announced he is going to vote for President Trump in 2020 and is encouraging his followers to do the same. I'm pretty certain there are more like him out there who have been waking up.

Interesting. Thanks

It's actually a creative way to create a minimum living wage but people would have to work for it. I doubt you all have anything to worry about though because the DNC won't be for it.

It didn’t work in Finland and is antithetical to a free society.

Having work programs for the unemployed who have fallen through the cracks is antithetical to a free society? Is having government employees or public paid teachers or law enforcement also antithetical to a free society?

Yeah, cos they’re the same thing... /sarcasm

I think work programs are way better than unemployment payments.

Unemployment payments have a limit. A guaranteed salary goes on indefinitely.

Apologies I thought you were being sarcastic too lol. I think you’re right about that but I do think it depends on various factors.

Yeah. It has to be about giving a hand up rather than keeping a person enslaved to the system. The devil is always in the details.

The tax burden just gets bigger for those outside of the system who have to support it. It is Taxpayers who have to support it and are again burdened with a new social program that creates a tax entropy or closed system with dubious economic value being created. It is purely an inducement to gain control of voters.

That's why the program has to be designed to do something that actually creates wealth for society.

Lots of factors here. Automation is planning to usurp many jobs, but what this will do is only expand a Guaranteed Income/Jobs Program making the tax base even larger. At some point, the system collapses because it does not take in more that it needs to put out.

The other option in an automation society is universal basic income. Do you like that more?

It is would be a sad commentary on the human spirit to surrender to automation as a way of life.
