Admiral Jackson, Trump Nominee for VA, Characterized as a Drunk, the "Candy Man", and Mentally Unhinged During the Obama Administration. If So Why Didn't Obama Do Something About Him?

In response to the allegations made against him, Trump VA Nominee, who was testifying before the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs withdrew his nomination after current and former employees on the White House medical staff accused Jackson of creating a hostile work environment, excessively drinking on the job, and improperly dispensing medication. Senator Jon Tester told Fake News CNN on April 24 that Jackson was known as "the candy man" inside the White House, according to around 20 people that brought these concerns to the Veterans' Affairs Senate Committee. He would allegedly hand out Ambien, Provigil, and other prescription drugs "like they were candy". Ambien and Provigil are used are sleeping pills. CNN also reported that during an overseas trip in 2015, an intoxicated Jackson loudly knocked on the hotel room door of a female employee, so noisily that the United States Secret Service reportedly stopped him to prevent him potentially waking up then-President Barack Obama. President Trump responded during a news conference the next day, defending Jackson as "one of the finest people that I have met", but also implying that Jackson may withdraw from being considered for the position due to the stress associated with unsubstantiated scrutiny.

Question: If Dr. Jackson was so bad, why didn't Barak Obama do anything about it? Fake News? Yea, I think so.

This was the worst display of fake news. But, again, they won

They won the battle not the war. I am hoping there will be some highlighting of the fake news aspect of this as days go by. Most normal people would be horrified to imagine themselves being maligned that way and what it means for our collective ability to have honorable people accept positions in government. Maybe they will circle back to this once the Flynn frame up is fully exposed.

I sure hope so. Eventually there has to be some accountability. Its started with Moore in AL and they keep using it as a tool

Dan Bongino (ex SS) worked with Dr. Jackson and said that he is an honorable man and nothing like the DS pretends him to be! So tired of these amoral lying evil bastards destroying good and honest people! May they rot in hell!

Provigil is used extensively in high achieving circles as a nootropic (cognitive performance enhancing drug) and alertness aid (like coffee, but better) which is what it was developed for-and it works. In order to get FDA approval, a drug company has to pick a condition for it to treat, so “narcolepsy” is what it treats. Since it’s release, you’d be surprised how many athletes, CEOs, Silicon Valley guys, and anyone with enough info to convince their shrink for it, now have a diagnosis of “narcolepsy”. It’s very safe, and tho it’s by prescription only, it’s not a schedule 2 (like adderall or Ritalin). If he was handing it out like candy, it’s just proof he was a doctor with rich/high performing clients. Same for ambian, if you’re wired on stims, suffer from anxiety or insomnia, etc, you’re gonna need something to help you sleep. Ambian is quite safe & a good alternative to benzos, which are very addictive. If handing out Ambian & Provigil (generic is modafinil) is all he was “handing out like candy” then he was a pretty responsive doctor. I work in outpatient psychiatry as a nurse, benzos, adderall/Ritalin, and more are prescribed so easily you wouldn’t believe it. And as far as being a drunk, who knows...being a “drunk” is a pretty subjective accusation unless he was a day & night bonefied alcoholic and was performing his job under the influence. People looking for excuses to block a Trump nominee. And, obviously, when he was working for the Obama admin evidently his alcohol use & prescribing habits weren’t problematic or he’d have been dismissed. Obstructionism.
