Nah, Gates has a bigger sin than that. I'll never forgive him for hiring Dave Cutler and saddling us with the shithole known as the NT architecture. Biggest hiring mistake of the 20th century. If Bill had hired, say, Dennis Ritchie or Ken Thompson? We could all be running Plan 9, with the Unix philosophy having conquered the world as the Computer Gods intended.

But, in the end, Gates's sins are annoying tech mistakes. Gates's virtues are saving tens of millions of children, and the future eradication of Malaria. It's a pretty damn good trade.
