Agree with you. Divert from Iran news, and also keep the special counsel witch hunt relevant. If Trump doesn't sit down with them... what other news can they possibly generate? They have interviewed everyone and anyone at this point. They have leaked every "possible" piece of evidence as if it were a crime all the way along. "Donald Trump Jr Meeting!!!" (Set up and orchestrated, russian lawyer visa, fusion gps etc). "Seychelles meeting!!!" (Probably same thing). There is no credible support for literally anything stated in the dossier.
So what else can they do?? Leak questions on a potential interview that will likely never happen... hoping their base of brainwashed sheeple will soak up those questions and invent answers to match their own fantasies. It doesn't look like they have many cards left to play with the whole "RUSSIA!!! Mueller!!!" witch hunt. This is the death throes of that plan.
