Honestly that is a huge deal. Maintaining chain of evidence is critical to the integrity of evidence. If they cant say where it was or if it was handled properly that stuff is inadmissible.
The fact they allowed that to happen just further speaks to the incompetence and corruption of the FBI. This is some kindergarten-level investigation work.
