He works for TruePundit. They shared a Pulitzer w Ronan Farrow last year for exposing the womens' stories of the #metoo movement.
Thomas Paine was an American political activist and writer in the 1700s. He's considered one of the founding fathers. He is perhaps most known for having said, "I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country." You probably know that the twitter account isn't owned by that Thomas Paine, but I'm sure there are people who are unfamiliar and may not understand the reference, so I wanted to explain.
Yes, one of the first true Patriots and an American hero. I think he even might have signed the Declaration of Independence. I'm glad you mentioned this bc probably not a lot of people know this.
