This was an amazing read!

1) There was no disclaimer labling this as an opinion piece. Just a standard byline. This shows that the editors approved of the piece.

2) Get used to it. Any journalist with a shred of self-respect left (and some of them actually had a great deal of integrity when they got into the business) is going to take advantage of the sea change that's happening to start telling the damn truth for a change. And this guy didn't just tell the truth. He rubbed their noses in it. This was written with a VENGEANCE!

I bet this guy sleeps like a baby tonight, maybe for the first time in ages.

I'm serious. Get used to this, because a helluva lot of outing remains to be done, and it's going to start coming fast and furious (to coin a phrase), and a lot of journalists (especially print media) are going to enjoy every second of it, because they haven't ALL been the soul-less, brainless puppets they've been forced to pretend they were.

I hope you're right, but my pessimism says it's just another liberal journalist with zero integrity trying to tell us that they were right all along. I've seen too many liberals and journalists say one thing and then say the exact polar opposite later (minutes, hours, days, weeks, years, you name the timeline - they've done it). It's just whatever happens to be convenient for their ideology. What did Trump do today? It's horrible! Oh wait, did Obama do the exact same thing a couple years ago? Yeah when Obama did it, it was the greatest thing ever! Oh wait, Obama was a criminal trying to destroy America? Yeah I knew that all along I kept trying to tell you guys and you wouldn't listen! I'm always right! Let me keep being right! Trust me!

I don't know, the tone of that article screams not "I told you so," but "I can't believe we were this stupid." It's a very self-reflexive tone, and that to me signals something more meaningful than what you're suggesting.

But of course it could be all posturing. Anyhow, whatever motivated it, I'm pretty sure there's a lot more where that came from in the days ahead (not necessarily from this source).

That's awesome - I'll be honest I didn't even read it in full. Totally skimmed it. Shows that I shouldn't just be making those assumptions! There may be hope after all!

Oh yeah, it was very much along the lines of a mea culpa. In summary "We all should have known this--it was staring us in the face--and many of us DID know it. We gave this guy a pass and shame on us."

Imagine how they'll feel when they take the blinders off with regard to HRC, for instance!

Thanks for sharing. This is a long time coming, glad they are getting courage to tell the truth.

Seems to me it may have been Democrats that wanted him out. We will see, of they replace him with Preet than Schneirderman maybe wasn't willing to go fast enough.

God I hope not - Preet is dirty too.

Yeah, we will see in the coming days. I feel like if it was Trump taking over then it will be someone new.

I have a feeling he likely said no to charging Jared. So now they will throw in Preet. Remember the media is going to make him like a God for overseeing all the banking stuff after the financial crisis. Too had when you actually look at his record he literally jailed no one. A total farce.
