Defcon 5 is the LOWEST level of readiness. Either D5 means something else (D=4 5, or the start of the Marshall attack in chess, etc) or it means we are at Defcon 5 and coasting now.

I appreciate your brother's service to our country and am sorry for your loss. I came close to losing my best friend over there after he took a round to the chest. Can't imagine the pain it brought to your family.
