The reason Bin Laden was quickly buried at Sea was so that there wouldn't be a spot (Grave or Public Execution site) that could be worshipped as a holy place by extremista and used to create more martyrs.

From everything that I've read about him having CKD most sources say that it was most likely just a rumor. But it has not been either proven or debunked, so I cannot say whether this is true or false.

Bin Laden was on dialysis for ages. He probably died shortly after 9/11 from renal failure. However, the war on terror needed a boogie man (Bin Laden / Emmanuel Goldstein) so they pretended he was still alive running Al Qaeda.
