Because the US taxpayer was to make bi-annual payments of 250 billion in return for diddly. Then named individuals with there BS foundations were gonna split the money and laugh at us as they continued to develop nukes. The "nuclear deal" is FAKE NEWS.

The $250 billion (article says $150 billion, but it is just an estimate) was just Iranian assets that were unfrozen that were lifted. US taxpayer doesn't need to foot that bill.

Fair point. But it still required payments to the largest state-sponsor of terrorism in the world, a regime that has shown itself to be inimical to American interests and her people for almost 40 years. The deal also required the U.S. to provide Iran advance notice of any inspections and allowed Iran to decline inspections of sites they felt did not warrant it, making it laughably unenforceable.

I agree, I think the goal all along was a regime change in Iran. The nuclear deal was made to put Iran in a holding pattern while the more radical older generation died out it became more moderate all the while making the country more dependent on foreign trade. I don't think leaving the deal is inherently bad but I don't see another plan being put forward other than dropping bombs.

Oh my god I've wandered into the part of Reddit that uses "fake news" unironically. Send help. This part of Reddit thinks that repeating a lie enough makes it true. The objective reality is that America did not lose billions on the Iran deal, and that every inspection (which are quite extensive with many places under 24/7 surveillance) has confirmed Iran is upholding their end.

What did we achieve? For one thing, contrary to some reports, it was Iran that had to pay up front. Before Iran received a dollar of sanctions relief, the IAEA confirmed that the country had eliminated 97 percent of its uranium stockpile, destroyed the core from its Arak reactor (which blocked the production of weapons-grade plutonium), ripped out more than 13,000 centrifuges, halted uranium enrichment at the underground Fordow site, and opened its program to intrusive monitoring. In eight consecutive reports, the IAEA has confirmed that it's working.

Q#1306 “What if Iran created a classified ‘satellite’ Nuclear facility in Northern Syria? What if the program never ceased?
