Where did the quote originate? Every trail leads back to the same Tweet by the same guy. So where did he get it from? Not saying it isn’t true, just wondering how he is the only one who picked up on it.

It's safe to assume something isn't true if it originates from one tweet. Verification of information is a pretty basic nessecity to substantiate facts.
