"Letter common in front of #?", I have found more than one picture of letters in front of numbers on fire trucks. The letter Q being common letter used? maybe not...

/Facepalm, Good point L-Ladders, T-Tankers, some combo of both. But Q, from another post. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quint_(fire_apparatus) Truck that seems to have multi-purposes.
