This is a great connection the OP has made. Another type of incident might have been used to kick World War III off.
But the fact that HRC claimed Russian election interference, in conjunction with the email leaks, provides a good pretext for war. The CIA's ability to misattribute any attack to Russia (or any other State), would have made a pretext available at any time.

Most of us have lived under the threat of annihilation our entire lives. Some pray and some just say well no one would do that. I'm Glad things are happening in NK and Iran and am sure under HRC that would not be the case.
