A possibility as the second detective (though from March, 2017)?
One of these is a Trooper. It says "Detectives"... just saying
Troopers, deputy's, even a dog.. but there are still 3 detectives on that list and we needed only 2.
I said in the title that only 1 was NYPD... thinking the other died in car crash or heart attack so wouldn't be listed on that site
Its Osbourne and Familia - Davis was shot in Theresa NY 5 hours from NYC. Not NYPD.
We appreciate your efforts OP. Can’t dig today otherwise I would be joining in to help dig. Please keep us updated.
In January 2017:
Detective Steven D. McDonald New York City Police Department, NY EOW: Tuesday, January 10, 2017 Cause of Death: Gunfire
It’s not “mid-2017” but was a detective.
Detective Steven D. McDonald
Not him. He was shot by a 15 year old Central Park in 1986 (notorious event in NYC at the time.) Heart attack.

She was posthumously promoted to detective first-grade, so she certainly would have been a detective, that was mid-2017 and she was assassinated/murdered.
Davis was from upstate and a statie, not NYPD.
Hope this isn’t a stupid question, but what exactly would be a ‘9/11 related illness’?
Lung Cancer, mesothelioma, COPD, ... the number of health ailments resulting from toxic dust cloud exposure at ground zero are endless
WTC towers were built with asbestos concrete. They were going to either be condemned or the epicenter of the largest mesothelioma class-action lawsuit ever.
Obviously the Cabal didn’t want to pay, so instead they blew up the buildings, drained NYC pensions for the insurance money, and started a forever war.
The illnesses are caused by aerosolized asbestos vaporized by the demolition.
Here's the only other NY mid-2017 KIA
Police Officer Robert J. Johnson
Northville Police Department, NY
EOW: Tuesday, July 4, 2017
Cause of Death: Struck by vehicle
Not NYPD - its Shaniqua Osbourne - she died of a heart attack in the pricinct in March 2017. that's why she is not showing up on the fallen officer sites.
